At Garry West Training Ltd. we try our best to use appropriate, non-offensive language in all our training sessions and teaching delivery. It is often a hot topic of debate, particularly in today’s diverse Multi-cultural/Multi-functional society. On researching some publications we cam across this one which we felt was very useful and easy to read – hopefully we will be using it on future teacher training courses to enhance and develop good practice in all of our new teachers and learners.
Its easy to fall into the trap of saying that everything is too PC! In reality the language that you use, can be offensive, whether intended or not, it also says a lot about you as a person and about your experiences and values of people from different backgrounds and experiences. We would appreciate your comments and feedback to generate discussions within our teaching forums.
